Coreo support

Coreo (Coreo Dance on the App Store) lines up several angles of one dance by sound and helps you learn it.

Email jmt@junipertangent.com. Please say which iPhone and iOS version you have and the version shown in About Coreo. For a sync problem, include the diagnostics report from About Coreo; you read it before you share it.

Questions

How should I film so the angles sync?

Coreo syncs by sound, so four rules cover it:

  • Start every camera before the music.
  • Keep the starts within about a minute of each other.
  • Make sure every camera clearly hears the same music.
  • Film the same run-through from every angle.

The same rules are in the app: tap How to film for sync on the first screen.

How many videos can I use, and from where?

Add 2 to 6 angles of the same dance from Photos or Files. You can also open a single video to practice with, or use Compare yourself to line up your take next to your teacher's. Try a sample on the first screen shows the whole flow without any footage.

One angle did not line up. What now?

Check that clip has the music audible and was started within about a minute of the others. If sync still misses, open Waveform Sync from that angle's panel and tap Line up here to finish the alignment by hand. A clip with no audio can also be placed by hand.

How do I practice a section?

Tap More (the three dots), then Practice tools, for a short guide. In brief:

  • Loop any section, or loop by the music's counts.
  • Slow every angle together, or use the speed ladder to climb from half speed to full speed while a loop repeats.
  • Hear a 5, 6, 7, 8 count-in, with an optional setup countdown.
  • Use drill laps and memory laps to practice without watching.
  • Use Floor mode for large controls you can reach from across the room.
  • Flag moments during a run-through and come back to them in Browse notes.
Can I draw or write on the video?

Yes. Tap the pencil to add a drawing, label or arrow at a moment in the dance. Each note fades in and out for the time you set, and it shows in your exports.

What can I export?

Export makes one video with all angles side by side, or a still pose card of the current moment. Choose Reels and TikTok (9:16), Feed (4:5), Square or YouTube (16:9). Then save it to Photos or share it with the iOS share sheet.

Where are my videos stored, and how do I delete them?

Each project keeps its own copy of the clips you import, inside Coreo on your phone. Your originals in Photos or Files are not touched. To free space, swipe or long-press a project in the library and choose Delete. The library shows how much space each project uses. Deleting the app removes everything Coreo holds.

I got a new phone. Where are my projects?

Coreo's video copies are not included in iCloud Backup, because they can be recreated from your library. After a restore, each project shows a Missing media badge. Open it and choose Re-pick (or Re-pick all) to relink the clips from Photos or Files; your edits and notes are kept.

Does Coreo need an account or an internet connection?

No. Coreo has no accounts and works offline. Nothing leaves your phone. See the privacy policy.

Which devices does it run on?

iPhone with iOS 17 or later, in portrait. Coreo also runs on iPad with iPadOS 17 or later, using the iPhone layout.

An export failed.

The most common cause is low storage. Free some space and try again. If it keeps failing, email us with the diagnostics report from About Coreo.
